Network subsystem error

Network subsystem error

Postby Sjonnie » Sat Jun 06, 2009 8:03 pm

Vypress Chat works perfectly on Windows XP, but when installed on a Windows Vista pc i get this error over and over again:
The network subsytem has failed. Perhaps, there are some errors in Network settings.

- Windows Firewall is inactive
- Vypress Chat is excluded in DEP
- Port 8167 is opened in the router
- Vypress Chat is excluded from Kaspersky AV
- Tested with standard IP Mulitcast settings, and tested with broadcast settings

Please help.

Yeah that's worrisome cause I really need for my problem to be solved pretty quick, before I buy this stuff.

How are you getting it to work in XP? I can't even get that much. I posted the problem to the board here

The error means that chosen automatically or manually network adapter is not configured properly or TCP/IP protocol is not installed for this adapter.
First of all you should to select an appropriated network interface for the Vypress Chat on the "UDP" tab of the "Preferences" dialog. See picture:

Then check the status of the selected adapter using "ipconfig /all" command in the command line. It should to show an IP address and other settings of the interface.
Try also command "ping [IP address of the interface]".

Return to “Vypress Chat”
